Way-too-early 2024-25 Big 12 basketball power rankings: Are Red Raiders rising?
It was a disastrous season in Morgantown under interim head coach Josh Eilert who was in an impossible situation after last summer's resignation of Bob Huggins. Now, former Drake head coach Darian DeVries is the man tasked with returning the Mountaineers to prominence.
WVU has lost its two best players from this past season, RaeQuan Battle and Jesse Edwards to graduation. What's more, streaky shooting guard Kerr Kriisa has departed via the portal.
However, DeVries has added six transfers thus far.
