After an unexpected run to the 2023 Elite 8, Kansas State failed to reach the NCAA Tournament in 2024. Thus, it is fair to wonder if much of the shine has come off of head coach Jerome Tang as he heads into year three in Manhattan.
KSU has seen three of its top four scorers from this past season depart. Tylor Perry and David N'Guessan have graduated and Cam Carter has transferred to LSU.
Michigan transfer Dug McDaniel and Villanova sharpshooter Brendan Hausen will have to take their games to a new level for KSU to compete for an NCAA Tournament birth in 2025. As it stands, the Wildcats need to add more to the roster before they are going to be considered a true threat in the conference.
