Though the football season is technically wrapping up with next week's Super Bowl matchup featuring Pat Mahomes' Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, the football offseason also provides significant intrigue to many fans. That's why some Texas Tech football fans are thinking about the NFL Combine, which will arrive before we know it.

Last year, Red Raider fans didn't get to see eventual No. 7 overall pick, Tyree Wilson, participate in this event because he was still recovering from a broken foot suffered near the end of the 2022 season. However, he was present and did go through interviews while also having his massive wingspan measured.

Though the invites to the combine haven't gone out for this year, there will likely be some Red Raiders participating again this spring. We may see players such as Myles Cole, Tyler Owens, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, or Jaylon Hutchings get a chance to show what they can do at the premier offseason scouting event.

Texas Tech has had at least one player taken in every draft since 2016. Of that group, three Red Raiders (Mahomes in 2017, Jordyn Brooks in 2020, and Wilson in 2023) have gone in the first round. That list of first-rounders won't be added to in 2024 but we will almost certainly see some Red Raiders have their name called in this year's draft.

Before that, though, they may have the chance to impress at the NFL Combine. So let's take a look at everything fans need to know about this important offseason gathering.
