The Kansas City Chiefs will be missing out on the playoffs this season. And that alone would be enough to raise some eyebrows for Texas Tech football fans given that the Chiefs are led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is one of the greatest Red Raiders to ever play for the Texas Tech football program.

But what happened in the Chiefs’ game on Saturday is going to be even more alarming for Texas Tech football fans than just the fact that the Los Angeles Chargers managed to beat Kansas City. Patrick Mahomes won’t be playing football any time soon as he has officially torn his ACL.

That injury, as difficult as it is, will certainly lead to a lengthy, painful recovery process and a ton of time on the sideline trying to get healthy for the former Texas Tech quarterback.
