College football is back! We get to watch it! And if you’re a Texas Tech fan who bought a ticket and are planning to be out in Lubbock, you’re likely to be surrounded by some pretty good company.
And also a lot of company.
It looks like Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech football team are going to have plenty of fans present on Saturday when the Red Raiders meet up with the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions. Jones AT&T Stadium is apparently going to be pretty full. That’s because the Red Raiders have officially announced that there’s a sellout for this season-opening game.
Can you tell that Texas Tech football fans have been looking forward to this season and they’re ready to see what the Red Raiders look like in what could be an absolutely fascinating football season?
Texas Tech football fans will be flocking to Lubbock as they bought into the hype for the 2025 season and bought all of the Week 1 tickets
I mean, I should probably note that there will likely be some Arkansas-Pine Bluff folks there. It’s probably not fair to say that the Red Raider fans are the only folks who bought all of those tickets. The point being, all of those tickets have apparently sold out.
The Season Opener → SOLD OUT ✔️

And there’s no doubt in my mind that so much of this has to do with the thrilling sort of offseason that McGuire and the Texas Tech football program have seen. Between the headline catching NIL moves and the Transfer Portal success, there’s plenty of reasons to be excited.
Oh, and you can add in plucking Shiel Wood, a very talented defensive coordinator, away from the Houston Cougars and then stealing Mack Leftwich, a brilliant offensive coordinator, out of San Marcos and away from Texas State.
There’s plenty to be excited about. Just a ton of reasons to be looking forward to what this season can hold. And it makes sense that Texas Tech football fans want to be there in person to see what the Red Raiders can accomplish.
