Despite the fact that they managed to fall behind the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners, the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Tim Tadlock simply didn’t have any issues going out and getting a win on Friday. I mean, yes, sure, Texas Tech did fall behind early on in the game, but the Red RAiders found some very impressive ways to respond and very quickly went on a run.

This is a game where Texas Tech was able to turn a 3-0 deficit into a 17-4 win for the Red Raiders. That’s huge in so many ways and it’s something that the Red Raiders absolutely should brag about. This is a game to be proud of. Texas Tech has managed to win six games in a row and looked really, really solid against an outmatched opponent.

And really, it is so good to see the Red Raiders playing the way they are. After those early losses to start the season in Arlington, it seemed like this season was bound and certain to be a dreadful mess. That hasn’t been the case over the past couple weeks though.

Texas Tech really has managed to bounce back at home when playing weaker teams though. How will the Red Raiders do when facing tougher competition?

I guess we’ll find out at some point. Right now, let’s enjoy the exciting wins by double digit runs.

Texas Tech fans weigh in as the Red Raiders celebrate their win over the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners

This is a game that included some thrilling home runs and tons of firepower. And the Red Raiders really had plenty of power at the plate. The Roadrunners had no real answer for any of it Friday night. Outside of their early scoring bust, CSU Bakersfield didn’t do much at all.

It feels good to see a win like this! Obviously it’s far from being the most conventional thing to enjoy and celebrate and it’s far from some of the tricky matchups that the Red Raiders will encounter when they make it into the Big 12 conference slate.

But still, wins are wins! 13-run wins are 13-run wins! They should absolutely be enjoyed every step of the way.
