Tim Tadlock and the Texas Tech baseball team sure had no issue getting a win against the visiting CSU Bakersfield team. The Red Raiders were absolutely THRIVING as they went out and crushed the Roadrunners, winning in run-rule fashion in seven innings.
It’s honestly such a great way to get a weekend started. Go out and truly run right over the opposing team and get out and go home after seven innings. There’s a lot to be proud of and enjoy from a win like that for the Red Raiders.
First and foremost, Texas Tech has now won six games in a row to set their record at 6-3. That, you know, matters. Wins matter. Wins feel good. That’s something that Texas Tech should be proud of.
In addition to that, the Red Raiders managed to score 17 runs on 17 hits (and they only struck out a grand total of three times in this game).

It’s interesting because Texas Tech technically had to mount a comeback in this game. The Roadrunners managed to claim a three-run lead over the Red Raiders in the top of the third inning. And that’s the last time they managed to have a lead over Texas Tech.
The Red Raiders scored six runs in the bottom of the third, four runs in the bottom of the fourth, and then seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Oh, and it’s also worth mentioning that this was effectively a complete and total domination for the Red Raiders. The trio of Jackson Burns, Will Jordan, and Jacob Rogers combined to give up five hits, three earned runs, and managed to toss just 85 pitches through the seven innings that the Red Raiders played. That’s not bad. Not bad at all.
