Well, this weekend wasn’t great. Not for Tim Tadlock, the Texas Tech baseball team, or Texas Tech baseball fans, that is. I’m sure TCU Horned Frogs fans had fun watching their team go out and sweep their series. Texas Tech fans didn’t get that same sort of pleasure though.

And it’s frustrating. It really felt like the Red Raiders were making some progress and getting back on track after some early losses at the start of the season.

Texas Tech entered this series at 16-8 overall and 4-2 against Big 12 teams. The Red Raiders were in a solid spot in the conference race just a handful of days ago.

Now, leaving Fort Worth, Texas Tech is sitting at 16-11 overall and 4-5 in Big 12 play. Unsurprisingly, Texas Tech baseball fans are fed up with how everything is going for the Red Raiders right now.

Here’s what Texas Tech fans had to say about the Red Raiders getting swept:

When you lose Game 1 by 10 runs in just seven innings, folks are likely going to be upset. When you lose Game 2 in extra innings with a heartbreaking walk off, folks are likely going to be upset. And then when you blow a late inning lead to lose Game 3, folks are likely going to be upset.

Would you believe me if I told you that folks are upset?

There’s still a lot of season left, but there’s frustration among Red Raider fans. They’ve clearly got a lot to say.

And it’s understandable. The Red Raiders were outscored 33-21across the three games that they played against the Horned Frogs. I just flat out don’t think it’s great that TCU was able to find plenty of life at the plate and put up 11 runs per game against Texas Tech. That doesn’t feel good.
