Yet another impressive win for the Texas Tech Lady Raiders basketball team. Krista Gerlich and the Lady Raiders just managed to steamroll right over the Baylor Bears in Lubbock, handing the No. 15 team in the country a 31-point beating.

This was complete and total domination for a team that certainly needed just any sort of win over the Bears, let alone one of the most impressive wins that the Texas Tech women’s basketball program has ever seen.

This was remarkable, lopsided, and thrilling all wrapped up in one single dominant victory for the Lady Raiders. And now, with Texas Tech beating Baylor by a score of 87-56, the Lady Raiders have introduced a little bit of chaos into the Big 12 standings.

Big 12 women’s basketball standings update: Where is Texas Tech after the Lady Raiders absolutely crushed the Baylor Bears?

With Texas Tech having no issue steamrolling right past the Baylor Bears to secure a huge win, here’s where the Lady Raiders are standing when looking at the rest of the Big 12:

  • TCU Horned Frogs - 24-4 overall, 12-3 Big 12
  • Texas Tech Lady Raiders - 24-4 overall, 11-4 Big 12
  • Baylor Bears - 22-6 overall, 11-4 Big 12
  • West Virginia Mountaineers - 21-6 overall, 11-4 Big 12
  • Oklahoma State Cowgirls - 21-7 overall, 10-5 Big 12
  • Colorado Buffaloes - 19-8 overall, 10-5 Big 12
  • Iowa State Cyclones - 21-6 overall, 9-6 Big 12
  • Arizona State Sun Devils - 21-7 overall, 8-7 Big 12
  • Utah Utes - 17-10 overall, 8-7 Big 12
  • Kansas State Wildcats - 15-13 overall, 8-7 overall
  • BYU Cougars -17-10 overall, 6-9 overall
  • Kansas Jayhawks - 16-11 overall, 6-9 Big 12
  • Cincinnati Bearcats - 10-17 overall, 5-10 Big 12
  • Arizona Wildcats - 11-15 overall, 2-13 Big 12
  • UCF Knights - 10-16 overall, 2-13 Big 12
  • Houston Cougars - 7-19 overall, 1-14 Big 12

TCU is clearly at the top all alone holding the No. 1 spot in the Big 12 women’s basketball standings right now, but that doesn’t guarantee that they’ll be able to hold onto that spot with the remaining games left on the schedule.

Still, it’s going to take a bit of luck for Texas Tech (or someone else in the conference) to be able to take that top spot away from the Horned Frogs. That three-way tie between the Bears and the Mountaineers does add an extra wrinkle of interest to all of this though!
