12 wins, a 34-7 Big 12 title win, scoring just shy of 40 points per game. The Texas Tech football team accomplished quite a bit last season and there’s plenty to celebrate.
And I say that with the simultaneous full acknowledgement that things certainly weren’t perfect for Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders this past season. The 2025 Texas Tech football season may not have been totally flawless, but it still stands out among the best seasons that the Red Raiders have ever experienced.
And with a historic season that involved a dominant Big 12 conference championship win over the BYU Cougars in Arlington, we get to see some flashy jewelry. Texas Tech has waited a while to win the Big 12’s crown and now the Red Raiders have the rings to prove that they did just that this past season.
Texas Tech’s Big 12 championship rings celebrating the best season in program history are finally here
Over the weekend, Texas Tech was able to unveil its Big 12 championship rings, which put the finishing touches on one of the most impressive seasons that the Red Raiders have ever experienced. It really was a true highlight of all of the dominant wins that TTU had last season.

While the season ended in a bitter way with that 23-0 loss to the Oregon Ducks, so much of the rest of it was special. 12-2 overall, 8-1 in Big 12 play. All 12 of those wins came by margins of more than three touchdowns. The Red Raiders managed to average 39.4 points per game and 461.4 total yards of offense per game while the defense limited opponents to just 11.8 points per game and 258.3 yards per game.
This was a really solid year all around for the Red Raiders. There’s a lot to be proud of. And this ring celebrates that for the Texas Tech football team as it looks to build upon and improve upon that success heading into 2026.
