Things really aren’t close in the Big 12 right now (which is a good thing).

Gerry Glasco and the Texas Tech Red Raiders softball team have already managed to win the conference and things really aren’t close. And it’s not like the rest of the Big 12 is bad, it’s just that the Red Raiders have a commanding lead in the conference standings at the moment.

Which is an encouraging thing for Texas Tech softball fans. It’s great that the Red Raiders are 48-4 overall and 19-2 against Big 12 teams this season. There’s a four-game cushion between the Red Raiders and the second place Arizona Wildcats and there’s just three Big 12 games remaining on the schedule.

And when you look at the winning percentage in Big 12 games, Texas Tech’s .905 is far better than Arizona’s .714.

Here’s where every Big 12 softball team stands heading into the final weekend of the 2026 NCAA softball regular season

Let’s take a look at the conference standings as we go into the final weekend of Big 12 softball action.

  • Texas Tech Red Raiders (48-4 overall, 19-2 Big 12)
  • Arizona Wildcats (34-13 overall, 15-6 Big 12)
  • Oklahoma State Cowgirls (34-14 overall, 14-7 Big 12)
  • Kansas Jayhawks (33-16 overall, 13-8 big 12)
  • UCF Knights (36-14-1 overall, 12-8-1 Big 12)
  • Baylor Bears (27-23 overall, 9-12 Big 12)
  • Utah Utes (33-18-1 overall, 8-12-1 Big 12)
  • Arizona State Sun Devils (35-16 overall, 8-13 Big 12)
  • Iowa State Cyclones (30-21 overall, 8-13 Big 12)
  • BYU Cougars (18-30 overall, 7-14 Big 12)
  • Houston Cougars (20-31 overall, 3-21 Big 12)

Again, Texas Tech is entering this weekend after already owning the regular season title for the Big 12. Now, the Red Raiders have an opportunity to continue to build their resume for postseason play. Meanwhile, the rest of the conference will be looking to find some momentum and improve their seedings for the Big 12 tournament.
