Well, there’s just one more midweek game of the 2026 Texas Tech softball season. A regular season that has been defined by success and consistent winning has seemingly really just flown by. I’m not entirely sure of where it went, but it sure has been fun to keep up with.
Now, as Gerry Glasco and the Red Raiders get prepared to play one more Big 12 series this season, the Texas Tech softball team will get one more midweek matchup to play on Tuesday evening. The Red Raiders are welcoming the Tarleton State Texans to Lubbock for a Tuesday night matchup at Tracy Sellers Field.
The last time these two teams met, the Red Raiders went to Stephenville and secured a really lopsided win as Texas Tech walked away with a 12-0 victory. Now the two teams are set to meet in Lubbock ahead of the last weekend of the 2026 college softball regular season.
Tarleton State softball’s offense is going to face an incredibly tough test in Lubbock against the Texas Tech Red Raiders
The Red Raiders have been really solid since the last time these two teams met. Texas Tech has won 16 more games, advanced to 47-4 overall, and the Red Raiders have run-ruled opponents 33 times this season.
Glasco’s Texas Tech softball team is really, really impressive.
Now, it is worth noting that the Tarleton State Texans have done a really impressive job at competing in the WAC. The Texans have managed to go out and put up a 12-3 WAC record all while recording a time-wide .320 batting average so far this season.
Now, Texas Tech will be entering this game with a team ERA of 1.71. Opponents are managing to rack up a .167 batting average against the Red Raiders’ pitching staff. Folks aren’t just finding much success against Texas Tech while at the plate. And that should give the Red Raiders a great chance of winning tonight.
Texas Tech and Tarleton State will meet up at 6 p.m. in Lubbock.
