Make your free throws. It’s an important thing to do. Sometimes, you might get that chance to hit four free throws in less than 40 seconds and it’ll give you the chance to go out and beat the No. 15 team in the country (which also happens to be a team that you haven’t beaten in 31 meetings because the last time you beat them was in 2011).
I mean, that’s more or less what happened on Sunday as the Texas Tech Lady Raiders went into Waco and secured a 1-point win over the No. 15 ranked Baylor Bears. It was unexpected and I’m sure there aren’t any Texas Tech fans who aren’t thrilled to see that the Lady Raiders ended up coming out on top of this matchup with the Bears.
This was a win that Texas Tech definitely needed. It’s a win the Lady Raiders have been trying to get for years. It’s so great to see that it finally happened (and the facts that it happened in Waco and also elevate the Lady Raiders to the top of the Big 12 standings make this win even better).
