This weekend, Grant McCasland and the Texas Tech Red Raiders are looking to continue building upon the momentum that they have right now as they head to Orlando, Florida to go face off against the UCF Knights.

And when I say momentum, I mean momentum. Texas Tech is rolling right now thanks to their five-game winning stream, which includes a bit of revenge as the Red Raiders handed the No. 6 Houston Cougars a defeat to the tune of 90-86.

Interestingly enough, both the UCF Knights and the Texas Tech Red Raiders are entering this matchup with identical overall records in place right now. Both Texas Tech and UCF have managed to go out and beat 16 foes and then lose to four foes.

It’s fun to look at the ways these two teams are similar. And of course, the biggest, most notable difference is the way the Knights have lost a couple more Big 12 games than what the Red Raiders have lost as we enter this matchup.

So far, that's just about it.

How to watch No. 11 Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. the UCF Knights: Everything you need to know

Here’s what all you’d need to know to be able to keep up with the Red Raiders and the Knights in Orlando on Saturday.

  • Who: No. 11 Texas Tech Red Raiders (16-4 overall, 6-1 Big 12) vs. UCF Knights (16-4 overall, 5-3 Big 12)
  • When: Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 11 a.m. CT
  • Where: Addition Financial Arena, Orlando, Florida
  • TV Channel: ESPN2
  • Streaming: ESPN

It’s intriguing to see how high of a level the Red Raiders have their players operating at so far this season. Obviously Texas Tech isn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but JT Toppin is scoring 22.1 points per game while grabbing 10.9 rebounds per game. Christian Anderson has managed to make 19.8 points per game while jumping in with 7.5 assists per game.

Texas Tech has a chance to maintain its spot as the No. 2 team in the conference when the Red Raiders face off against the UCF Knights. And that’s pretty meaningful at this point in the season.
