Joey McGuire and the No. 6 ranked Texas Tech football team are so close to snagging their 10th win of the season. On Saturday, the Red Raiders will welcome Scott Frost and the UCF Knights to Lubbock, Texas for Texas Tech’s final home game of the regular season.
And as Texas Tech tries to lock up its 10th win of the season, the Red Raiders will have a chance to also honor the seniors who have helped elevate this program right back into the national spotlight.
It’s senior day, folks.
And that means showing some gratitude and appreciation for guys like Behren Morton and Jacob Rodriguez, who have thrived and done so much for the Texas Tech football program. For Rodriguez, this is yet another opportunity for the talented linebacker to build even more momentum for his Heisman Trophy campaign, which is also something that deserves some appreciation.
How to watch Texas Tech vs UCF Knights: TV channel, stats
Here’s what you need to keep up with the game:
- Who: No. 6 Texas Tech Red Raiders (9-1 overall, 6-1 Big 12) vs. UCF Knights (4-5 overall, 1-5 Big 12)
- When: 11/15/2025 at 2:30 p.m.
- Where: Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas
- TV Channel: FOX
- Live stream: FOX Sports
This is a game that will allow Texas Tech to essentially just about lock up its spot in the Big 12 championship game (and of course, having a game against the West Virginia Mountaineers in a couple weeks to wrap up the regular season certainly helps with that as well).
The Red Raiders have control of the Big 12 standings at 6-1 in conference play while the BYU Cougars and Cincinnati Bearcats are tied for second with 5-1 Big 12 records (and BYU and Cincinnati will get to play each other soon enough next week).
So for a team with national title aspirations, this game matters a bit.
For a team like UCF, that is trying to survive and make it to a bowl game with limited opportunities for wins left on the schedule, this game is of incredible importance. And it’ll be interesting to see just how Scott Frost and the Knights approach this game as they try to get to a half-dozen wins this season.
Here's to hoping that at the end of the day the Red Raiders are able to secure a win with relative ease, that they can avoid injury issues, and that we can talk about a double digit win season for one of the few times in Red Raider football history.
