Joey McGuire, Mack Leftwich, and the rest of the Texas Tech Red Raiders offense may not have had the chance to see the full potential that Behren Morton has due to his injury issues, but they did get to enjoy watching one of the more intriguing quarterbacks in Lubbock in recent years.

Even with navigating some infuriating injury issues that hindered what he was able to do for the Red Raiders offense, Morton was a really solid quarterback this season for Texas Tech. And luckily for us, the Red Raiders have put together a highlight reel for everyone to check out, including the folks who make decisions at the next level of football.

Behren Morton’s best plays for the Texas Tech Red Raiders in 2025 prove the Big 12 champ has unfinished business

If you haven’t already seen this, or you just want to go over some of the best moments from the quarterback who helped lead one of the most impressive seasons in Texas Tech football program history, here you go:

While plenty of folks will focus in on Morton’s injuries or how the season ended in the Orange Bowl against the Oregon Ducks, it’s worth remembering that so much of his season was better than that.

Against the Oregon State Beavers, Morton completed 23 of 35 passes for 464 yards and four touchdowns. When facing a Houston Cougars team that ended up winning 10 games, Morton managed to complete 28 of 40 passes for 345 yards and a touchdown. At West Virginia, Morton completed 25 of 32 passes for 310 yards and three scores.

And he was doing all of that while injured.

On the season, Morton completed 219 of 332 passes (good for a 66 percent completion percentage) for 2780 yards and 22 touchdowns while only tossing six interceptions on the season. In his career, Morton completed 775 of 1231 pass attempts for 8852 yards and 71 touchdowns. He had a really solid time in Lubbock. That highlight reel serves as a decent reminder of that.
