In one of the most thrilling upsets of the season, the No. 16 Texas Tech Red Raiders just went on the road and managed to grab a three-point overtime win over the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats. That’s going to shake up a few things on a national level and it’s definitely going to shuffle a couple teams around in the Big 12 standings.
Texas Tech managed to improve to 9-3 in conference play and the Red Raiders aren’t alone in holding that conference record at the end of the day. Both the Iowa State Cyclones and the Kansas Jayhawks are also sitting at 9-3 in Big 12 play right now.Â
Speaking of the Jayhawks, they’re also a noteworthy team when talking about how things have unraveled quickly for the top-ranked Wildcats. Arizona now sits at 10-2 against Big 12 teams with both of the Wildcats’ conference losses coming in the past few days after a road loss against Kansas and then a home loss against Texas Tech.
