It’s definitely clear that Jacob Rodriguez is one of the best players in the country (and also clearly one of the most impactful players around). The seasoned linebacker for the Texas Tech Red Raiders thrives in just about everything that he does and he’s just run for yet another touchdown as the Red Raiders trotted Rodriguez out on offense once more.

The Red Raiders got on the board in a hurry. After starting with the ball at the Texas Tech 43-yard line, the Red Raiders efficiently marched down the field. Behren Morton connected with Terrance Carter Jr. on a handful of occasions and also managed to dish the ball out to J’Koby Williams as well.

And once Texas Tech got close to the goal line, the Red Raiders were able to get Rodriguez on the field for a quick play to promote their linebacker.

MUST WATCH: Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez gets the Red Raiders on the board with a touchdown run vs. West Virginia

You’ve got to see the Red Raider star get Texas Tech on the board while on the road against the West Virginia Mountaineers:

I don’t know what else Texas Tech can do to put Rodriguez in the spotlight to get more attention as part of a Heisman Trophy campaign. Between all that he does for Texas Tech’s defense and the touchdowns he’s scoring on offense, the Red Raiders have done just about all they can to promote their talented linebacker.

This is such an efficient (and effective) way to get the game started. Texas Tech is setting the tone with a touchdown and making it clear that they’re among the best teams in the country. And while doing just that, the Red Raiders are showcasing one of the best college football players in the country. It’s fantastic.
