On Tuesday night, the College Football Playoff rankings will be updated. After week 11 of the regular season, it will be fascinating to see what the committee decides to do with the teams in the SEC.

While the top two teams in the initial rankings, Oregon and Ohio State, each picked up blowout wins, chaos once again ruled the week thanks to the SEC. That's where the race for the title in the toughest conference in America is anyone's guess.

This past weekend, it was Georgia that fell off its perch as an SEC title contender by falling on the road at Ole Miss. The 28-10 Bulldogs' loss opened up the race for conference title game spot allowing teams with multiple conference losses to dream of making it to Atlanta.

That game also altered the landscape of this week's College Football Playoff projection. So let's see what the field might look like when the rankings are announced later tonight.

There is still going to be quite a bit to decide in the SEC. Three teams in the conference, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M all have one conference loss. Meanwhile, five more squads have 2 conference losses: Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU, and Missouri.

Meanwhile, the ACC took a hit this week with Miami's loss to unranked Georgia Tech. That leaves open the door for Clemson to get back into the title game mix in that conference but it will require one more Miami loss and a Clemson win over Pitt.

Obviously, there is still plenty to be settled before the 12-team field is set. What's more, this year's parity has made the selection committee's job especially difficult. That's why tonight's rankings reveal on ESPN at 8:30 pm. Eastern will be worth watching.
