The 2025 Texas Tech football schedule starts off in a pretty interesting way. Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders will have a chance to build a bit of momentum early on in the season as games progressively get a little more difficult through the first few weeks of the 2025 Texas Tech football season.

And when the Oregon State Beavers come to Lubbock, Texas Tech will have faced off against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (a team that TTU should beat with relative ease) and then Kent State (another team the Red Raiders should take care of without much of an issue).

Then there’s Oregon State.

While the Beavers aren’t a juggernaut and they’re working to rebuild following a coaching change prior to last season, Oregon State will be an interesting litmus test to see where the Red Raiders are as a team with all of the transfer portal additions on the roster.

And as Oregon State comes to Lubbock, Texas Tech is asking for Red Raider fans to wear colors that will correspond with what side of the stadium that they’re on.

Texas Tech football is planning on the east side of the stadium wearing white while the west side wears red vs. Oregon State

If you’re going to be in Lubbock for the game against the Beavers on September 13, Texas Tech wants you to know what color to wear and it’ll all be based on where your ticket says to sit down. Folks on the east side of the stadium are being asked to wear white.

That also applies to everyone in the student section, by the way.

Meanwhile, folks over on the west side of the stadium for the Oregon State game are being asked to wear red.

It’ll be fun.

The season is fast approaching. The offseason is almost over. Folks, we’ve just about made it. We get to talk about preseason award watch lists and what color to wear to a football game. We’re almost there.
