Best freshman: Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes started the last four games of the season after Webb was lost to injury, but had the biggest impact in the last three. He made the offense so much more dynamic, buying time in the pocket and extending plays while completing 105 of 185 passes for 1547 yards, 16 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Plus, Mohomes brings another element to the offense: he can run effectively.
Tech may have lost two of those three games, but Mahomes put up a fight in each of them. His presence makes a huge difference for the Red Raiders.
