Some insiders question whether sophomore guard Randy Onwuasor will be on next year’s team. He must improve his practice habits and stay out of Coach Smith’s doghouse.

He started numerous games early in the season but fell out of favor with the coaching staff to the point that he was benched for a time.  However, he seemed to move back into Smith’s good graces playing seven minutes against Baylor.  On the court, Onwausor must improve upon his 31 percent field goal shooting, and his 24 percent 3-point shooting.

Tech desperately needs someone to hit outside shots, and if Onwausor can improve in this area, he could provide quality depth off the bench next season.
