This may be one of the country’s sleeper units for 2015. The Longhorns will assuredly suffer after losing Malcom Brown, who was somehow a value pick in the 2015 NFL Draft in the first round. What Texas retains, however, are a pair of very solid DT’s in Hassan Ridgeway and Desmond Jackson (season-ending injury against UCLA in game three). They also lose Cedric Reed at DE, but somehow still return a solid number of starts between their top three ends. Texas hasn’t blown the recruiting game out of the water lately along the DL, but they still have some good potential, and guys that are competent and can still impact the game when they need to spell the starters.
