The Jayhawks and new Head Coach David Beaty have a tall task in front of them: rebuilding. The two returners that can be counted on from last year are Matthew Boateng at cornerback, and Isaiah Johnson at safety.

Losing JaCorey Shepherd to the NFL Draft in the sixth Round  to the Eagles will hurt incredibly, as he was easily their best defender last year.
