Left Tackle

Starter: Le’Raven Clark

One of two active members of the all-time Texas Tech two-deep roster is Le’Raven Clark. Granted, Clark only has one game remaining in his Texas tech career but he has been considered one of the best linemen in program history almost since the day he stepped onto campus.

The high school all-American has been a 4-year starter for Texas Tech spending the last three years at left tackle, the most important position on the offensive line. Clark has been named all-Big 12 first team each of the past three years and was named a second-team all-American this season by CBS Sports.

Backup: Rylan Reed

One of the most inspiring players in Texas Tech history, Rylan Reed overcame cancer to be the starting left tackle on the 2008 Texas Tech offensive line. Reed spent four years playing minor league baseball before turning his focus to football meaning that he was 27 as a senior in 2008.   The massive 6-foot-7, 300-pound Arkansas native set the school record with an amazing 625 pound bench press.
