Super Bowl XLI – Monte Reagor and Dylan Gandy

Last night’s Bronco’s victory was the second Super Bowl title for legendary NFL quarterback Peyton Manning. His first came nine years ago in in Super Bowl XLI when he was teammates with two Red Raiders.

Unfortunately for Reagor, he was injured and did not play in the game. Gandy started at guard for an offense the put up 439 yards in the victory over the Chicago Bears.

Gandy played for Texas Tech from 2000-2004 and was drafted by Indianapolis in 2005. He spent nine years in the NFL with the Colts, Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders and Detroit Lions.

Reagor also spent 9 years in the NFL from 1999-2007. After being drafted by the Denver Broncos (where he would spend two years) Reagor joined the Colts before finishing his career with one season in Philadelphia.

In the NFL, Reagor had 142 tackles, 17.0 sacks and an interception. Playing for Texas Tech from 1995-1998, he had 25.5 sacks (3rd in Texas Tech football history).
