TCU

When listing offensively dangerous teams, Texas Tech fans likely do not think of TCU.  But the Horned Frogs finished this season at No. 98 in the nation with 74.6 p.p.g.

On 13 occasions this year, the Frogs have reached the 80-point mark and five times they topped 90.  But in two games against Tech, TCU managed just 65.5 points per game.

Overall, TCU hit just 45 of 108 shots against the Red Raiders.  What’s more, they committed 25 turnovers and made just 15 of 43 shots from deep in the Red Raiders’ season sweep.

Though TCU is far from being as talented as Gonzaga, they play a similar style of offense.  Perimeter oriented and looking to push the pace, the Frogs and the Zags approach the game in similar manners.

In the Chris Beard era, the Red Raiders seem like they have continually been bad matchup stylistically for the Frogs.  Tech’s ability to switch on opponents’ ball screens and play harassing perimeter defense gave the Frogs fits and hopefully that will be the same today against Gonzaga.
