You still can’t watch Texas Tech basketball highlights

Over the course of this season, the Texas Tech basketball media department cranked out some of the best content Red Raider fans have ever seen.  But even a month after Tech’s season came to an end, many fans still don’t want to watch the great social media content that memorializes this special season.

Perhaps it is the pessimist in me that causes me to see each made three-point shot, each dunk, each Tariq Owens block in these highlights and think, “If we’d just had one more of those against the Cavs!”

The videos coming from the Tech media department are so well-done that they invoke as much emotion from Red Raider fans as the SPCA commercials with the mangy dogs invoke from pet lovers.  And I’m just not ready to embrace those feelings yet.

And without question, there’s no way I can watch highlights from the tournament.  I still have not even rewatched the Final Four win over Michigan State because just seeing that court causes me to grow angry and sad at the same time.  As for the title game?  I had my wife delete it before I got home from Minnesota.

Instead, I’ve been trying to look forward by watching highlights of 2019 signee Jahmius Ramsey, who received his 5th star Tuesday.  Maybe by the time Ramsey and the 2019-20 team takes the court in November, I’ll be in a place where I can look back on this season’s highlights and enjoy what the Red Raiders accomplished but right now, I’d rather watch rewatch our football team’s game in Manhattan last year.
