No. 3: 16 points and 4 rebounds against Oklahoma in 2015

Whenever a true freshman makes his first run through Big 12 play, there can be an adjustment period.  And in Norense Odiase’s first season, he had just four double-digit games against conference foes as he neared how tough life can be in one of the nation’s best leagues.

His best game that year was a 16-point, 4-rebound showing against No. 17 Oklahoma in Lubbock.  After losing to the Sooners by 45 points in Norman a month earlier, the Red Raiders forced overtime in the rematch before falling 79-75.

Odiase shot 7-12 from the field to be one of four Red Raiders in double-digits joining Toddrick Gotcher (18), Keenan Evans (17) and Isaiah Manderson (13).  He was also tied for second on the team in rebounds.

Unfortunately, this loss was part of a nine-game losing streak to end the season as the young Red Raiders learned some tough lessons down the stretch.  But in four of those games, Tech was able to keep the game with two possessions showing that the talent on the roster was capable of playing against top competition.

And for Odiase, it was his highest-point total of the season (tied with his season debut) and his best showing of Big 12 play.  He also had 14 points against Oklahoma State, 13 against Kansas and 11 against Texas in the Big 12 Tournament but is performance against the Sooners in Lubbock was one of his best as a Red Raider.
