OL: Glen January, Manny Ramirez, Travis Bruffy, Daniel Loper, E.J. Whitley

No matter how good the QB and receivers are, the offensive line has to keep the QB upright.  Protecting Symons for the Houstonians would be a very good offensive line that features a number of players that were NFL draft picks.

Snapping the ball to Symons would be Manny Ramirez, who started in Super Bowl XLVIII with the Denver Broncos.  The 6-foot-3, 325-pounder started 46 games as a Red Raider earning second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2005.

Next to Ramirez would be a player that actually did line up alongside him in Lubbock, E.J. Whitley.  A three-year starter that started a game at every offensive line position, Whitley was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft.  On the all-Houston offensive line, the Texas City product would slot in at one of the guard positions.

Another Red Raider offensive lineman from Houston who was taken in the NFL Draft is Daniel Loper.  The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder started 44 career games for the Red Raiders from 2001-2004, twice being named second-team All-Big 12 before playing 58 games (with 9 starts) in his NFL career.

6-foot-5, 310-pound tackle Glen January would also be on the all-Houston team.  Playing for Tech from 2003-06, January earned second-team All-Big 12 honors as a senior.  From 2007-15 he had a successful career in the Canadian Football League.

Rounding out the all-Houston o-line would be a current Red Raider, Travis Bruffy.  A three-year starter at tackle, the 6-foot-6, 305-pound offensive lineman is a two-time Big 12 honorable mention honoree and will be a key for the Red Raiders this fall.

Three of the players in this group are tackles meaning one would have to move to guard, likely either Bruffy, who began his career as a tight end, or Whitley, who made several career starts on the interrior.  Regardless, you could make a very good offensive line out of Red Raiders from H-town.
