DL: Colby Whitlock, Brandon Sharpe, Keyunta Dawson, Ondre Pipkins

The out of state all-time team would boast a salty group of defensive linemen.  That would include one of the most rugged defensive tackles in program history, Colby Whitlock.

The Noble, Oklahoma product racked up 188 career tackles as a four-year starter from 2007-10.  The 287-pound former high school wrestler earned freshman All-American honors in 2007 and second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2010. Of course, his signature moment came when he registered a safety in the first quarter of Tech’s unforgettable win over Texas in 2008.

Lyons, Georgia native Brandon Sharpe is tenth all-time at Tech with 15 sacks in a career that spanned just two seasons, 2008-09.  His monstrous senior season saw him register every one of his sacks as a Red Raider as he set a school record for sacks in a season on his way to earning third-team All-American honors.

Keyunta Dawson from Shreveport, Louisiana would get the start at the defensive end spot, opposite Sharpe.  From 2003-06, he piled up 19.5 sacks, sixth-most by a Red Raider.   He also forced and recovered four fumbles, including falling on one for a touchdown.  From 2007-13, he racked up 120 tackles while playing for the Indianapolis Colts, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, and New Orleans Saints.

6-foot-2, 325-pound Kansas City native Ondre Pipkins would pair with Whitlock to give this team a stout defensive tackle tandem.  He played only one season at Tech, 2016, after transferring in from Michigan.  For his career, he made just 55 tackles as he struggled with injuries but when healthy, the former U.S. Army high school All-American was capable of being a disruptive force on the interior.
