Left tackle: Le’Raven Clark

Interestingly, the two Red Raider offensive linemen still active in the NFL today both played left tackle.  Though LaAdrian Waddle had a great career at that spot, our all-decade pick is Le’Raven Clark, the best Tech OL of the 2010s.

A four-year starter from 2012-15, Clark started 51 games in his career.  As a senior, he was named CBS Sports second-team All-American, a first-team All-Big 12 honoree and was a preseason candidate for the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award.

He also earned 1st-team All-Big 12 validation in 2014 as part of an offensive line that allowed just 13 sacks on the year.  In fact, in every one of his years as a Red Raider, he earned some level of all-conference recognition by at least one publication or organization.

Clarke was especially athletic for a tackle that weighed 310 pounds and his unusually quick feet made him the perfect player to protect his quarterback’s blindside.  In 2016, he was taken in the third round by the Indianapolis Colts, which he still plays for.  In his career, he’s made 12 starts and appeared in 35 games.

As for Waddle, he made 40 starts on the o-line from 2009-12 and if we were actually fielding a team to start a game, he’d likely be our right tackle.  Currently playing for the Buffalo Bills, the Columbus, Texas native has been in the NFL since 2013 playing for Detroit, and New England as well.

That is our 2010’s all-decade team.  With Dawson Deaton at center, Jack Anderson and Lonnie Edwards at the guards, and Terence Steele and Le’Raven Clark at the tackles, that is a line that would be more than formidable in the Big 12 proving that though there have been more busts than we would like to have seen along the o-line this decade, there have also been some great players to don the Double-T.
