Folks, I don’t know about you, but I’m admittedly pretty emotionally drained after watching the Texas Longhorns and Texas Tech Red Raiders meet up in what was a must-win situation for the TTU softball team. Maybe it’s just me, I don’t know. You know who doesn’t seem exhausted after Texas Tech’s win over Texas?

The Big 12.

I thought that Texas Tech’s 2025 Women’s College World Series Game 2 win over the Texas Longhorns was a bit tiring, but that might just be me. It was a bit anxiety-inducing. At least in my house. Watching the Red Raiders do everything they could to take advantage of UT’s late mistakes to build a steady 4-1 lead only for the Longhorns to cut that down to 4-3 in the top of the 7th?

That wore me out! As for the Big 12? Well, they sure seem energized by watching the Red Raiders survive that 7th inning surger from Texas and end up handling business against the Longhorns.

Big 12 sure seems to enjoy Texas Tech’s Game 2 win over the Texas Longhorns

Here’s how the Big 12 is reacting after the Red Raiders won Game 2 of the 2025 Women’s College World Series championship series:

I mean, it really seems like they enjoyed seeing the Texas Tech Red Raiders (one of their members) managed to defeat the Texas Longhorns (one of their former members) and in the process get Tech (one of their members) even closer to a national championship while simultaneously preventing UT (one of their former members) from winning a title on Thursday night.

Can you blame them? I mean, really, is that possible? I don’t blame them. Not one bit.

We’ll see if the Big 12 will be able to continue celebrating Friday night. There’s one more game to be played between the Red Raiders and the Longhorns. The winner will head home crowned a champion. One more game. That’s it.
