Rolling into the final game of the regular season for the Texas Tech Lady Raiders, Krista Gerlich and her TTU women’s basketball team are being given an absolutely dominant probability of going out and beating the Arizona State Sun Devils on Senior Day. There’s a ton of confidence in the LAud Raiders' ability to wrap up the regular season with a win.

And that’s exciting! That’s good! That’d be great to see unfold. Texas Tech really does need a win like that against the likes of the Sun Devils. Get some momentum going into the Big 12 women’s basketball tournament. It’s a must.

And really, there is no full reason to doubt that Texas Tech can’t come out on top. It shouldn’t be shocking that the Lady Raiders are being given an 84.4 percent chance of beating Arizona State

Texas Tech, so far, is 14-2 at home this season. The Lady Raiders have been able to go out and beat a ton of teams. And when you’ve got talent like Bailey Maupin and Snudda Collins available, you should be winning games like this.

Texas Tech is an absolutely massive favorite against Arizona State Sun Devils according to ESPN’s Matchup Predictor

But unfortunately, Texas Tech has managed to lose its last two games. The Colorado Buffaloes and the Kansas Jayhawks both gave the Lady Raiders losses. And In that loss to Kansas, Texas Tech only scored 59 points. That win over Baylor from February 18 feels so far away right now and we’re just a couple weeks removed from it.

So while it’s great that ESPN’s Matchup Predictor is favoring the Lady Raiders here, we’re going to need to see some proof of concept. Texas Tech really needs to find a way to win this one. This losing streak can’t continue into the conference tournament.
