Folks, this has been such a fascinating Texas Tech basketball season. Grant McCasland and the Red Raiders have accomplished so much. Top 10 wins over the likes of the Arizona Wildcats, Houston Cougars, and Duke Blue Devils (and then a few frustrating losses along the way) have really made this season such a roller coaster.
Add in the injury to JT Toppin and things have been wild and emotional to keep up with. And now, in the third game without Toppin being available for the Red Raiders, the No. 16 Texas Tech men’s basketball team is heading to Ames, Iowa to meet up with the No. 4 team in the country (and a team that has never lost a home game this season).
So far, Texas Tech is unbeaten while Toppin is out recovering with a season-ending injury. Can that continue today? We’ll see.

Who comes out on top of this one? ESPN’s Matchup Predictor doesn’t seem to think that the Red Raiders will have much of a chance in this one. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it all unfolds for McCasland and his Texas Tech basketball team.
