Cincinnati or UCF will make a deep run

Everyone loves a Cinderella run in March and this year, either Cincinnati or UCF will provide the Big 12 with one. Though both of those teams are just 5-9 in conference play, don't be shocked if one rides a wave of desperation to at least the semifinals.

This year, both Cincinnati and UCF have proven to have the type of athleticism and defense that can carry a team through a tournament. What's more, each has scored impressive wins over conference contenders.

The Bearcats have beaten BYU, TCU, and Texas Tech. Meanwhile, UCF has beaten Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech.

Look out specifically for UCF. Though the Knights have trouble scoring, they do have two dynamic guards in Jaylin Sellers and Darius Johnson as well as the league's best shot blocker in Ibriahima Diallo to protect the rim. Either way though, keep an eye on these two teams who will likely need to win it all to earn an NCAA Tournament bid because one is going to surprise in Kansas City.
