If Arizona were bringing back Jedd Fisch as head coach this year, they would be the prohibitive Big 12 favorites after a 10-3 campaign last fall. However, Fisch is now leading the Washington Huskies, and his replacement, Brent Brennan, comes with some questions.
Brennan, a disciple of legendary UA coach Dick Tomey, served as head coach at San Jose State University for the last seven seasons. During that time, he had four losing seasons and never won more than seven games in one year.
He could have the team to get him well over that bar this year, though. Arizona returns most of last year's key contributors from a team that surprised many across the nation.
Still, coaching changes often take a toll. Continuity is key in college football and Arizona will be without that in 2024 which is what will keep them from winning the league crown.
