A perfect home record would set the Red Raiders up for a Big 12 Championship Game run

It has been since the magical 2008 season that Tech has been undefeated at home. However, 2024 could be the year that changes. In fact, that's a goal that the Red Raiders should strive for.

Of the seven teams coming to the Jones this fall, only West Virginia was a good team last season. In fact, the Mountaineers are the only team set to come to Lubbock this year after posting a winning record last fall.

If Tech is as good this year as many of us want to believe they will be, then they will enter every one of the home games as favotires. That's not to say that a team like Baylor or Colorado can improve tremendously over the offseason and give the Red Raiders some problems. Still, though, being perfect at home is not out of the question and if Tech can reach that goal while having a winning road record, then a special season could be in store.
