Yes, Texas Tech has suffered some significant losses in Pop Isaacs, Joe Toussaint, and Warren Washington. However, the program has also made some shrewd additions via the portal.
Tech has brought in Elijah Hawkins to be the point guard, Kevin Overton to play next to him in the backcourt, and Federiko Federiko to protect the rim in the paint. That's three quality starting-level players added to rising star Darrion Williams.
What's more, Grant McCasland still has at least four scholarships to hand out as he retools. If he can hit on one or two more instant-impact additions, Tech will be back in the NCAA Tournament mix once again in 2024-25.
