A busy Texas Texas football weekend continued on Sunday evening when the Red Raiders added yet another pledge to their 2025 transfer portal class. Will Jados, an offensive lineman from Miami (OH) has committed to the Red Raiders according to multiple sources including the Matador Club, Texas Tech's unofficial N.I.L. collective.

The native of Westerville, Ohio is a 6-foot-8, 307-pound tackle with loads of experience at the college level. He started 38 career games at left tackle for the Redhawks and now he's ready to compete in the Big 12.

The redshirt junior who will have one year left to play in 2025 is an unranked transfer according to 247Sports.com. As a high school prospect in the class of 2021, he was a 2-star recruit and the No. 219 offensive tackle in the nation.

Lightly recruited out of the prep ranks, he had originally only one offer from a power-conference program, Kentucky. He also had offers from the likes of Akron, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Toldeo, and Western Michigan. This year, as a transfer, he reportedly had offers from Oklahoma State, UTEP, Wake Forest, and Pitt.

After redshirting as a true freshman, Jados became a starter in 2022. That year, he saw action in 13 games making 11 starts at tackle.

In 2023, as a redshirt sophomore, he started all 14 games for Miami (OH). He even earned second-team All-MAC honors for his play.

This season, he was again a centerpiece of the Redhawks offensive line. Now, he hopes to compete for a starting job with the Red Raiders.

This is the second offensive lineman the program has added to the mix since the portal opened on December 9. Jados joins FCS product Hunter Zambrano who transferred to the Red Raiders from Illinois State.

What's more, this is the second player from Miami (OH) to come to Texas Tech via the portal in the past week. Wide receiver Reggie Virgil has also signed with head coach Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders after starting his career with the Redhawks.

Tech or the Matador Club now has announced seven transfers who are committed to the program. What's more, McGuire has intimated on X that another commitment announcement is pending. So keep checking in to see who the next portal addition will be.
