It doesn’t seem like college football fans are stunned as consistently by Texas Tech’s recruiting wins as much as they used to be, but it does feel like folks aren’t too thrilled to see the Red Raiders have success on the recruiting trail.
So, as Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech football team keeps stockpiling four-stars and impressive talents out of Texas, it seems like college football fans in general are a little bit bitter about the recruiting momentum happening in Lubbock.
And that kinda makes sense and it kinda doesn’t. Folks typically like underdog stories, but they’re unhappy with the Red Raiders. Folks generally know that money is involved in college sports and pretty much always has been, but they’re not thrilled that the Red Raiders are taking advantage of that.
Now, as Texas Tech has picked up a commitment from four-star running back SaRod Baker (who chose the Red Raiders over offers from teams like Texas A&M, Texas, Ohio State, Arizona, Arkansas, Oregon, Michigan, Missouri, and Florida), people seem a little unhappy.

Texas Tech fans are pretty happy about this recent recruiting development for Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech football team.
That said, other fanbases? They don’t seem to be as supportive of the Red Raiders’ recent recruiting success. And instead, they seem to want to focus in on some other recent Texas Tech related news.
Without a QB they're gone be rushing the ball 60 times a game. Smart move young man.

Which, you know, we can focus on the Brendan Sorsby gambling investigation stuff. That’s something we could fixate on. Or we could take a step back and enjoy the things that are going right with the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Like Texas Tech beating out the Aggies and a bunch of other teams to get Baker’s commitment. That’s a good thing to enjoy.
Some good news on this Monday. There is no other Texas Tech football news to report https://t.co/FIiJouz9af

Or we could just focus on good news exclusively. I’m not opposed to that in theory.
