As Tim Tadlock and the Texas Tech Red Raiders head back home to Lubbock to try to bounce back from that awful weekend series sweep over in Fort Worth, the Texas Tech baseball team is getting set to host the Abilene Christian Wildcats in a midweek non-conference matchup.
The Red Raiders need this win. Really badly. That three-game losing streak that Tadlock’s Red Raiders are on is pretty painful and Texas Tech will be returning back to Big 12 play sooner rather than later. If the Red Raiders aren’t ready to compete in conference play, then things will get ugly in a hurry.Â
And as we saw against a TCU Horned Frogs team that isn’t special, it looks like the Red Raiders are currently not ready for conference play. So, how does Texas Tech get there? Can this matchup with the Wildcats give the Red Raiders a bit of much needed momentum?
