Here’s how Texas Tech fans are reacting to the Red Raiders cruising to an easy victory over the Winthrop Eagles to wrap up the calendar year:

Just looking at things on the surface, the win itself doesn’t seem like a drastic, huge, monumental sort of win. And that’s fair! This is a 30-point beating of the Winthrop Eagles after Christmas and before the New Year starts. But it’s pretty important to note just how well the Red Raiders played in this game.

Also, hey, there were some really solid performances in this game that are absolutely worth celebrating and highlighting.

The Red Raiders are now going to take a few days off and they’ll get ready to meet up with the Oklahoma State Cowboys in what will be Texas Tech’s first Big 12 game of the season when the two meet up in Lubbock on January 3, 2026. Texas Tech is now 10-3 on the season. The Cowboys are 11-1. It’s definitely a game to keep an eye on.
