Yasir Durant

2-star offensive lineman, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

A football program simply can’t have enough quality offensive linemen. That is evidenced by Texas Tech’s pursuit of the 6-foot-6, 336-pound giant from the East Coast.

Despite already having four offensive linemen committed to the 2016 class, Texas Tech would love to add a fifth for the second year in a row.

Durant has received scholarship offers from Rutgers, San Diego State, Arizona State, Illinois, Temple and other programs. Right now, he says that Texas Tech, Temple and San Diego State are his top three choices.

Durant is tentatively scheduled to visit Lubbock next week giving Texas Tech the final shot at winning him over prior to signing day. If football pedigree is more important to Durant than geographic location, Texas Tech has an excellent chance to sign this huge lineman.
