Gerry Glasco and the Texas Tech Red Raiders are officially just one win away from competing in the 2025 Women’s College World Series championship series. Just one more win and the Texas Tech softball team will be officially competing for a national title for the first time in program history. We are just one win away from seeing that happen.
So, what’s standing in Texas Tech’s way of getting there?
Well, right now, the Oklahoma Sooners.
OU has emerged from the elimination bracket and is one of just four teams remaining in the 2025 Women’s College World Series. A longtime college softball blue blood that currently has a dynasty that owns this moment of the sport, it’s fitting that the Sooners are still in OKC right now.
The Red Raiders have proven quite a bit this season with all that they’ve accomplished. A Big 12 regular season crown, the Big 12 tournament championship, and now a trip to Oklahoma City. All three of those are firsts.
But now one of the toughest tests that the Red Raiders could ever face is standing right in front of them.
How to watch 2025 Women’s College World Series game 13: Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Oklahoma Sooners in Oklahoma City
Here’s what you need to know to keep up with the Red Raiders as they try to beat the Sooners in Oklahoma City:
- Who: No. 12 seed Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. No. 2 seed Oklahoma Sooners
- What: Game 13 of the 2025 Women’s College World Series
- When: Monday, June 2 at 6 p.m. CT
- Where: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
- Venue: OGE Energy Field at Devon Park
- TV channel: ESPN
- Live stream: Watch ESPN
- Live stats: NCAA
Hopefully the Texas Tech softball team is prepared to face a stadium that will largely be full of Oklahoma softball fans. And hopefully the Red Raiders were able to get some rest on Sunday.
All that said, thankfully, Texas Tech just needs one more win to advance on. The Sooners have to beat TTU twice to be able to make the WCWS finals. There’s a little bit of breathing room here. Not much, but there is some. Hopefully that second game against Oklahoma isn't necessary though. One game and one win and staying perfect in OKC would be great, if you ask me.
