College football is back, folks. It’s here. We get to watch it. And more specifically, we get to watch some Big 12 football today. We don’t have any Texas Tech Red Raider action, but we will get the chance to scout out a couple of Big 12 opponents that the Red Raiders will get a chance to play later down the line this season.
And I think that’s pretty fun.
I also just flat out think it’s great that college football is finally back. Yes, it’s Week 0, but it’s actual college football stuff and that’s good. We get a distraction from all of the things happening off the field by getting to watch the actual product that will be on the field.
And that is also pretty fun. I’m here for it. College football is great. Flawed, sure. But great. And today, we’ll get to watch some Big 12 action. And the Big 12 is also flawed but great. And I’m on board with that as well.
Let’s start taking a look at everything you need to know to keep up with the Big 12 today as the college football season gets started up.
Everything you need to watch the Big 12 in Week 0
- 2025 Big 12 football schedule: What college football teams are playing in Week 0? - Let’s start simple, shall we. Let’s go with the schedule! There are two Big 12 games going on this week and that means there are two games that you should check out. One features two ranked teams in Ireland and the other is right at home in the middle of the United States.
- How to watch Big 12 football: No. 17 Kansas State vs. No. 22 Iowa State in Ireland - The first college football game of the season is the first Big 12 matchup of the season and it’s happening over in Ireland. We’ve got a couple of ranked teams in this matchup and it’s going to be fascinating to see which one comes out on top.
- How to watch Big 12 football: Kansas Jayhawks host Fresno State Bulldogs - And on to the second game! The Jayhawks will be welcoming the Fresno State Bulldogs to town in a game that Kansas should conceivably win with relative ease. We’ve gone ahead and assembled everything you need to keep up with that matchup.
- Kansas Jayhawks heavily favored in season opener per ESPN Matchup Predictor - This shouldn’t really shock anyone. The Jayhawks should be able to handle business against a team like the Fresno State Bulldogs.
- Kansas State a considerable favorite over Iowa State according to ESPN Analytics - This is truly interesting. Iowa State made it to the conference championship game a season ago and had a really solid season. And yet, Kansas State is the relatively really solid commodity here.
There’s no Texas Tech action taking place today, but that’s not the end of the world. We still get to see some college football and soon enough, we’ll get to see the Red Raiders. We just get to exercise a little patience and watch some Big 12 teams from the Midwest beat up on one another. I’m here for it.
